        Iarnrod Eireann (IE) has awarded a 4-year contract for the provision of Mast and Tower Maintenance & Inspection Services. There are approximately 140 Radio and 140 CCTV Masts and Towers on the Iarnród Éireann telecommunications network. The IE telecoms tower infrastructure provides vital communications links to support the national transport network. There is also a third party facility provided for the mobile network operators at defined locations on selected towers. It is the responsibility of IE to maintain a record of the masts and towers including all associated equipment and to certify that they are structurally sound and safe to climb. The scope of the contract includes site surveys, maintenance inspections, structural and wind loading analysis and reporting of findings using MS Tower as well as the option of a minor repairs service and rigging works.
