        In summary, the services comprise: request for tenders for the provision of building & quantity surveying consultancy service for completion of a condition survey of clare county council’s housing stock, schedule of works and associated cost plan and capital expenditure proposal for a multi-annual planned maintenance programme.clare county council is a housing authority under the housing acts, 1966-2014.as a housing authority the council provides housing services under the provisions of the housing legislation. as part of this function the council have constructed or acquired a substantial housing stock of 2,468 units including traveller accommodation units ranging in age of construction from 1930 to 2012. this represents a significant investment and the council is anxious to ensure that this housing stock is appropriately maintained to optimise the use and to protect the investment already made.a summary of the quantity of social housing stock owned and maintained by clare county council, by housing maintenance area, is shown in the table below and a map shown the distribution of housing stock across the county is shown in appendix 1D.

         Condition Survey of Clare County Council Housing Stock.

        In order to plan for the Multi-Annual Planned Maintenance Programme the Housing Authority requires the undertaking of a comprehensive condition survey of each unit of housing stock.

        This survey shall be capable of being completed on a portable ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) device, in a tabular format, compatible with input on and transfer to Microsoft Excel, and the information shall be transferred to Clare County Council on a regular, scheduled basis, for uploading onto the Council’s ICT system. The contract must be completed within 6 (six) months of contract signing. On that basis it would be expected that the suc.
