         — rail will be free issued to the successful contractor – predominantly straight 10, 12, 15, 18 m lengths but specials of different length/curvature may be required from time to time,

         — joints to be normally fitted centrally, but offset joints may be required from time to time,

         — rail section will be mainly CEN54 (kg/m) butt here may be a small requirement for joint installation in 113lb or CEN60 (kg/m) from time to time but these will be priced individually under the contract,

         — running edge side to be marked,

         — estimated requirement of 150-200 joints per year.
